Ranked Bar Race — effect skill for numbers & charts
For AI agents: find the right skill in one call —
curl -s "https://skills.varg.ai/api/search?q=<what the person wants>"returns the matching how-to page and the best skills with install commands, as markdown (Russian works too). Full index: https://skills.varg.ai/llms.txt. Every page has a markdown twin: add.mdto its path. Before generating anything, show the person the options on the how-to page.
Ranked bars grow and overtake each other over time while the axis rescales and a year/date ticks.

What it does
Built on Bar Chart Race by HeyGen (HyperFrames), Apache-2.0. The write-up and recipes below are varg's.
Horizontal bars with logos at their ends, sorted live, a big date counter in the corner; your product climbs to #1.
When: Market share, popularity over time, "fastest growing" stories.
Watch out: Do not run the race too fast; viewers need ~0.5–1 s per period to follow overtakes.
Timing: 0.5–1 s per period, smooth interpolation between periods, final hold 2 s.
Also called: bar chart race, ranking animation, leaderboard
In HyperFrames
npx hyperframes add bar-chart-race
Feed the time series as variables; ranks and the axis are recomputed per frame from time.
In Remotion
const t = frame / (fps*0.8); const i0 = Math.floor(t), k = t - i0;
const values = series.map(s => s[i0] + (s[i0+1]-s[i0])*k);
const ranked = [...values.keys()].sort((a,b)=>values[b]-values[a]);
In CapCut
Build in Flourish (Bar chart race template), screen-record the preview, import and trim.
Ready-made components

More numbers & charts skills
- Big Stat Count-Up: One huge number counts from zero to its value and lands, with a short label under it.
- Odometer Digit Roll: Each digit rolls on its own wheel to the target, places settling right to left like an odometer.
- Bars Grow with Value Labels: Bars rise from the baseline in a staggered cascade with values riding their tops.
- Line Draws with Riding Label: A line draws itself left to right while the current value rides the pen tip, ending on a dot and big label.
- Progress Ring Fills: A thin ring draws on to a percentage while the number in its center counts up in sync.
- Before → After Metric: The old number shows, gets crossed or rolls, and the new better number takes its place.
