## What it does

A provider-independent playbook for text that has to read in motion: classify each element's job (main title, lower third, caption-as-design, lyric, social hook, legal super), build hierarchy, treat line breaks as editorial (including RTL, CJK and complex-script shaping), and time every beat as reveal, hold and exit. It covers platform safe zones (TikTok, Google Ads, Meta, Shorts; dated by the author), WCAG flash limits, backing plates over moving footage, phone-size review, approved typefaces and fallbacks, and the failure mode of brand fonts that are substituted silently or unlicensed, then ends with an implementation handoff spec and worked examples. It produces direction and specs, not code: pair it with Kinetic Typography, GSAP Plugins or a Remotion skill to build the result.

- Plan titles, lower thirds or captions-as-design for a video
- Set reveal, hold and exit timing and line breaks for animated text
- Check safe areas, contrast and flashing before delivery
- Write a typography spec to hand to an implementer

## Not for

- Writing the animation code itself (pair with kinetic-typography or gsap-plugins)
- Asking image or video models to draw exact letterforms; the skill says to prefer rendered text layers
