How to make a logo animation: step by step

  1. Get the logo as a clean SVG split into parts (mark, dot, wordmark)
  2. Write a 4–6 beat timing sheet (spark → ring → mark → wordmark → hold)
  3. Render 6–10 variants and pick one; composite the real SVG on the last frames
  4. One whoosh and one hit, aligned to their peaks; export 16:9, 1:1, 9:16 and transparent MOV/WebM

What works now (researched 2026-10-27)

Winning stings are short (3–8 s) and either built from the real vector logo in code or made as an AI-video reveal that was planned on a timing sheet first. Glass, crystal and chrome materials ride the Liquid Glass wave. Stock FX (lens flares, particle bursts, shockwave rings, RGB glitch) now read as template.

  1. Plan the reveal as a timing sheet before animating: 4–6 beats with times (spark → ring → mark draws → wordmark → hold). Give the sheet to the video model or the code agent. The most-saved logo workflow of 2026 (187k views, 2,383 bookmarks): an image model makes an animation sheet that tells Seedance how long each part takes, and the result follows it beat by beat. (@jerrod_lew, logo animations with Images 2.0 + Seedance 2.0 (X, Apr 2026))
  2. Start from a clean SVG split into named parts (mark, dot, wordmark) and animate the parts. If an AI video model makes the reveal, overlay the real SVG on the last frames so the logo is exact. pixel2motion turns a raster logo into a semantic SVG (mark, dot, wordmark) with fitted vectors, then a choreographed HTML animation; the post about it got 537 bookmarks on 45k views. (@BTCqzy1 on pixel2motion (X, Jun 2026))
  3. Generate 8–20 entrance variants, review them side by side, and pick one. Then refine timing on that one. Designers now let Claude produce 20+ logo entrances in a couple of hours and choose (41.5k views, 516 bookmarks); picking beats fixing the first idea. (@leobenzoni, 20+ logo animations made by Claude (X, Aug 2026))
  4. Keep a channel intro sting to 3–5 s and put it after the hook, not at second 0. YouTube's 'Intro' metric reports the share of viewers still watching at 0:30 and advises experimenting with the first 30 seconds; a long sting spends that window on branding. (YouTube Help, key moments for audience retention)
  5. Sound: one whoosh into the reveal and one hit on the frame the mark locks, placed by the sound's measured peak, not its file start. The viral code-made launch prompts specify peak-aligned SFX and loudness at -14 LUFS, and ban 'shockwave rings, particle bursts, RGB split, camera shake, lens flares, neon glows'. (@twoclipping, launch prompt with banned-FX list (X, Sep 2026))

Logo animation timing sheet (gpt_image_2_5)

Step 1 of the AI-video sting: an image model draws the storyboard with timecodes and easing that the video model will follow Adapted from @jerrod_lew, animation-sheet prompt for ChatGPT Images (X reply, Apr 2026).

Create an animation sheet for a slick logo animation for a company called {BRAND}. The logo is {LOGO_DESCRIPTION} (reference attached). The sheet should show clearly a storyboard with animation lines for a slick, tight {SECONDS}-second animation:
- 5-7 numbered panels with timecodes (for example 00:00-01:00 light seed, 01:00-02:20 energy sweep, 02:20-04:00 outline forms, 04:00-05:20 material fills, 05:20-06:40 wordmark fades up, 06:40-{END} hold)
- an overview row with arrows between the stages
- a timeline bar with the easing of each stage (slow in, cubic out, back out, sine in-out)
- a focused breakdown that shows the shape morph step by step ({MORPH_DETAIL})
- style notes: {STYLE}, colors {BRAND_COLORS}
Dark background for contrast and readability. Keep the progression simple: fewer steps, each one clearly different.

Seedance sting that follows the sheet (seedance_2_5)

Step 2: the video model animates the logo from the sheet, with the logo geometry locked so letters never redraw Adapted from @jerrod_lew, Seedance step from the sheet (X reply, Apr 2026); text lock from Krea's logo-and-mark-motion guide.

Create the logo animation as described in @image1 for the {BRAND} logo. Follow the reference exactly: same stages, same order, same timing, {SECONDS} s total.

References: @image1 is the animation sheet, used for timing and motion only; never show the sheet itself. @image2 is the final logo: every letterform, stroke weight, counter, kerning pair and proportion is fixed exactly as shown. Do not re-letter, redraw, re-space, warp or substitute any glyph. Do not add or remove any character.

World: seamless {BACKGROUND} void, no floor, no horizon, no set dressing. The mark ends dead centre, identical to @image2.
Light: {LIGHT_STYLE}. No lens flare, no god rays, no bars or gradients sweeping across the mark.
Audio: one soft whoosh into the reveal, one clean hit on the frame the mark locks.

Constraints (reassert): the final {HOLD_SECONDS} s hold is pixel-exact to @image2, same shapes, weights and spacing; no additional text, no tagline, no captions, no watermark, no URL; it plays once and resolves, no loop, no speed ramping.

Code reveal that assembles the logo (agent)

The code version: the real vector logo builds itself from its own geometry, many variants first, rendered with alpha Adapted from @tdinh_me, logo slow-reveal prompt for Opus (X, Sep 2026).

Create an impressive motion design video of a slow-reveal transition that assembles and eventually reveals the {BRAND} logo (attached: {LOGO_FILE}).

Work from the real vector: trace or clean the logo into an SVG with named parts ({PARTS}, e.g. mark, dot, wordmark) and check an overlay against the source before animating.

Plan a 4-6 beat timing sheet first, {SECONDS} s total, for example: a wireframe or spark built from the mark's own geometry, the parts fill in, they settle into the app icon, the wordmark types in beside it, hold 1.5 s. Parts move with rigid transforms only and arrive in exact registration on one frame.

Make 6-10 entrance variants as side-by-side stills first; I pick one, then you refine its timing.

Render with HyperFrames (seekable, deterministic) at 1920x1080 and 1080x1080, plus a transparent WebM or MOV. Sound: one whoosh into the reveal and one hit on the lock frame, each placed by its peak.
No lens flares, particle bursts, shockwave rings, RGB glitch or camera shake.

Trending formats to remake

To remake one: download the example with the media-download skill, take a frame a second and the transcript, write a beat list (time, shot, camera, on-screen text, sound), keep what the format needs, swap in the person's product or character (never the creator's face, voice, logo or footage), show the beat list and stills before spending, then make it with the skill named below.

  1. Title sequence that lands the logo: A 10–15 s TV-style opener built in code: one visual idea plays out (a pen writes, a map folds) and resolves into the show or brand logo. Why it spreads: A fake TV-show opener made with Claude Code and Remotion got 11.7M views and 6,186 bookmarks. It brands a series without a stock sting. Keep: One visual idea plays out for 10-15 s (a pen writes, a map folds) and resolves into the logo, with TV-opener pacing, built in code. Swap the idea for one tied to your show's subject. Make it with HyperFrames (hyperframes).
    • Example to remake: @Wakuwakukucx on X, 2026-08-16, 11.7M views, 6K saves: A 15 s title sequence for a made-up show (a fountain pen writes a historical figure's résumé, then the logo lands), built entirely in Claude Code × Remotion. It shows an intro sting can be a whole show opener.
  2. AI-video reveal from a timing sheet: A glow or spark grows, a ring forms, the mark draws itself in light, the wordmark fades up. Made with Seedance from a reference sheet that sets each beat's timing. 6–8 s. Why it spreads: Most-saved logo post of 2026: 187k views, 2,383 bookmarks, workflow shared in the comments. Keep: Make the animation sheet first (spark, ring, mark draws, wordmark, hold, with times), give it to Seedance as the reference, match the clip length to the sheet, and overlay the real SVG on the last frames. Swap the mark and its material. Make it with Krea Motion (krea-motion).
  3. Assemble-from-parts reveal (code): The mark builds itself from its own geometry (shards, strokes, wireframe), settles into the app icon, then the wordmark types in beside it. 6–20 s, rendered from HTML. Why it spreads: Cheap, exact and brand-safe because it uses the real vector. A one-line prompt version got 420 bookmarks; batch-generated variants got 516. Keep: The mark builds itself from its own geometry (wireframe, shards, strokes), settles into the icon, then the wordmark types in; attach the real logo and generate many entrance variants before picking one. Make it with Pixel2Motion Logo Animation (pixel2motion).
  4. Material macro sting: Extreme close-ups of one brand material (glass, crystal, chrome, liquid) catch light, break into particles or shards, and resolve into the mark, then the wordmark on a clean card. 10–17 s, often posted as a teaser before a launch. Why it spreads: Rides the 2026 glass trend (a web Liquid Glass library got 1.36M views and 8,787 bookmarks). Official 'logo motion' teasers like Taemin's reach 380k views. A code version with a chrome shader is still wanted. Keep: One material and one palette throughout: macro close-ups catch light, break into flakes or shards, the mark forms in light, then the name on a clean card; 10-17 s, no people. Swap the material to match your brand (glass, chrome, liquid). Make it with Krea Motion (krea-motion).
    • Example to remake: @Taemin_Xoalsox_ on X, 2026-09-08, 380K views, 332 saves: Official artist logo motion, no people on screen. 17 s: teal crystal macro → a gem in light rays → crystals burst into flakes → the 'T' mark forms in white glow → name on black. One palette, one material.
