# Typewriter — primitive for text reveals (react)

## Prompt that renders it frame-exact

Use Typewriter from Fancy Components (https://www.fancycomponents.dev/docs/components/text/typewriter, MIT). Install with `npx shadcn add @fancy/typewriter` with the @fancy registry set in components.json. Use it for a prompt-box effect, a search bar or a sentence whose last word keeps changing ('We're born to [create / dance]'). Set text (a string or an array), speed, deleteSpeed, waitTime, loop and cursorChar. It types on chained setTimeout calls and blinks the cursor with a Motion loop. Rebuild it as a pure function of t = frame / fps: walk the type/hold/delete schedule to get the visible substring, and blink the cursor with floor(t * 2) % 2.
