# Scramble In — primitive for text reveals (react)

Use Scramble In from Fancy Components (https://www.fancycomponents.dev/docs/components/text/scramble-in, MIT). Install with `npx shadcn add @fancy/scramble-in` after adding the @fancy registry to components.json. It suits tracklists, credits, specs or a list of features revealed one row after another. Set text, scrambleSpeed (ms per step), scrambledLetterCount and characters. It runs on setInterval with Math.random. Compute the revealed length from (frame - startFrame) / fps * 1000 / scrambleSpeed, pick the trailing glyphs with a random function seeded by frame and position, and stagger rows by start frame. Set autoStart={false}.
