# Typing Text — primitive for text reveals (react)

## Prompt that renders it frame-exact

Use Typing Text from Animata (https://animata.design/docs/text/typing-text, MIT) for a command line, a search box or a typed caption. It adds one character per `delay` ms with setInterval, waits `waitTime`, and with repeat on erases and types again, all on wall time. For a render, compute the visible count from time: n = clamp(floor((t - start) * 1000 / delay), 0, text.length), mirrored for the erase phase when repeat is on, and blink the cursor from floor(t * 2); t is frame / fps in Remotion or the timeline time in HyperFrames. Set text, delay, repeat, waitTime, smooth and hideCursorOnComplete, and the colours of the prompt.
